So, how does this work?

It's super easy!

Let me take some of the stress off you during your student's Senior Year!

I try to make the Senior Portrait process as easy as I can for you.

First - We get you booked in.

You pick a date, sign an agreement, pay a retainer fee ($200) to hold your spot. (This fee will be applied to your image collection purchase.)

Then - We plan your session.

I'll provide you with a Welcome Guide that will help you and your Senior plan for your portraits (color combos, locations, and more!).

Next - We have fun at your photo session!

Your Senior is going to feel like a rock star! We'll make great memories while I snap some fun, relaxed photos.

Finally - You get your portraits!

In about 2 weeks, you'll have beautiful Senior portraits for your announcements, social media, prints and gifts.

Collections begin at $400.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are your hours?: I have two type of hours: Business hours (when I'm available to answer emails, phone calls, etc) and Photo Session hours (when I'm available for scheduled shoots).

My business hours are 9am-5pm Monday through Friday.

I generally only schedule portrait session on weekends (Saturday morning/afternoon and Sunday afternoon); however, I am available for limited photo sessions on weekdays.
What does the retainer fee include?: When you pay your retainer fee, you are retaining my professional services and time for your session. While the session fee includes no digital image files, it WILL be applied to your purchase of an image collection.

There is no commitment to purchase anything further if you are not completely satisfied with your portraits.

But I'm just certain you will love them!
What payment methods do you accept?: I accept cash, check, credit card, and PayPal.
How much should I expect to spend?: Well, of course this depends on a lot of factors. I offer a nice range of image collections that all include a generous print credit. And my Gallery Shop has a nice broad selection of items from simple prints starting at $5 all the way up to massive wall pieces.

My average client spends about $900 (session fee and collection purchase).

Where will our photo session take place?: I come to YOU! Want photos on your school's track or football field? You got it! At a favorite park? Yep! Wading in a stream? No problem!

I'll work with you to find a perfect location for your portraits.

But the great thing about hiring a professional is that I can make almost ANY location become a remarkably beautiful backdrop for portraits!
How do I book a session?: Super easy!! Fill out my Booking form and we'll get started!

I find the quickest easiest way to get you all the info AND answer any questions you might have is with a very brief video (5 minutes). And I always follow up with all those details by email, too.

Then if you have more questions, I'll get you those answers by email, text, or phone call.

If you like what you see, we'll hop on a call to pick a date. Then I'll send you a Portrait Agreement, which includes a way to pay your session fee. After those are submitted, you'll be all set!
Do you have a cancellation policy?: Portrait sessions are secured by the NON-REFUNDABLE Retainer Fee ($200). The session fee WILL BE APPLIED toward your purchase of an image collection.

There is a lot of preparation that goes on behind the scenes to get ready for a photo session, and I've most likely turned away other clients in order to hold that spot for you, thus Retainer Fees are NON-REFUNDABLE.

If you need to reschedule, your Retainer Fee can be transferred to a new date. If you need to reschedule, please notify me at least 24 hours in advance, otherwise it may be treated as a cancellation. Cancellations may be non-refundable.
What about reshoots?: I offer reshoots if we are unable to complete your photo session due to technological issues, extreme unexpected changes in weather during the photo shoot, or other emergency situations.

Sorry, I do not offer reshoots to achieve a specific moment, pose, grouping, or facial expression. I will make a reasonable effort at our shoot to capture requested moments, poses, groupings, and facial expressions, but I make no guarantees.

If I am unable to perform the services as outlined in our contract (due to technological issues, extreme unexpected changes in weather during the photo shoot, or emergency situations) and a reshoot is not possible, all payments will be refunded and no images will be delivered.
How long will it take to see my portraits?: Your portraits will generally be ready within 2-3 weeks.

During busy seasons (October-December), processing time may be longer, so please plan accordingly. I will notify you at booking what my current turn around time is.

If you need your portraits more quickly, they can be expedited for a fee.
May I take photos at the session with my cell phone?: While I'm so thrilled you are excited to have photos taken, I do not allow other photos or videos to be taken while we are shooting. It interferes with my workflow - and eats into YOUR photo session time.
How are images delivered and how long do I have to make purchase decisions?: Images will be delivered by private online gallery. You may share this gallery link with family and friends.

You will have thirty days from the time your gallery is released to you to choose the digitals and prints to fulfill your Collection.

Please be aware, there is a small fee to republish the gallery ($25) once it closes (after the 30 days).
Can I get image files?: YES! All my Collections come with digitals. And - you always have the option to purchase more from the Online Shop.

Digitals are full-resolution JPEG image files and include a print release. You may take your files to any printer you choose. I will provide you with my tips and suggestions for the best quality prints; however, I cannot guarantee image or print quality for prints that don't come from my lab.
Can I print my pictures?: All purchased full-resolution digital files will come with a PRINT RELEASE giving you the right to print at your preferred lab. I recommed Mpix. Discount labs like CVS, Walmart, etc provide low-quality images that may give poor results.

However, I cannot guarantee any images (quality or longevity of image, nor color-correctness) that are not printed with me.

Please be aware, that although you are being given the right to print for PERSONAL USE only, the copyright to the images is still retained by KD Williamson Photography.

If you have not purchased the full-resolution digital file, you will not have permission to print the images.
Do you offer prints?: YES! I offer a wide variety of photo prints, fine art prints, wall art (canvas, metal, framed prints), and lots more! (calendars, digital art, books)

When you order prints with me, I check over your order carefully - from color corrections to precise cropping for your selected size to ensuring your order is just as you want it.

Once you are booked, I'll provide you with a full Gallery Shop catalog that details all the photo products I offer.
